Fergus Graham

1900 - 1968

Fergus Graham

Fergus Graham (1900-1968) was a self-taught artist and career soldier who served in the Grenadier Guards.

During the 1920s and 30s, he had solo exhibitions at the Redfern Gallery, the Lefevre Gallery, and Colnaghi in London. These exhibitions proved very successful and encouraged Graham to focus exclusively on painting. He went on to develop an interest in surrealism, and his greatest strength was his profound understanding of line.

Graham’s work is held in the Government Art Collection and Manchester Art Gallery.
